Young man succumbing and surrounded by his tapes
Ignited, burning all round him, tears on his face
Ash in his palms, mouth red, eyes dead and lost
He raised his head sky's view, bile builds and coughs
Hell settles near, he fears no embrace of his youth
He had long tossed his truth in pursuit of the booth

An elder Queen seated between the Sun and Moon
A dying star, the oceans spread an inviting tomb
What she amounted to less than her power knew
And such a fighter, too, but life had worn her through
Her eyes water at the tides of what's above her
Mother, wife, and daughter to all that loved her
But in her mind, a lie, and her soul taunts her
She falters as stars launch, eyes gaze their departure

I scribe this play a day ere my born
Two decades in the century, twenty first to more
Legends shape their sound and the starved yearn to draw
The climate doubles down and the heat remains the core
All the world's a stage and niggas is the props for it
The silence toppled, and my words grab something
The monochrome tone fades and with it, drab wanting
The paths spread in two and I seek the most ornate
