In der Stadt Sulaimaniyya
Ein Kind der Sonne
Kurz nach meiner Geburt, Ende '96, floh'n Mama und Papa aus dem Land
Um ihr'n einzigsten Sohn vor dem Chaos zu schützen
Aus dem Land, wovon siе mir jeden Tag neuе Geschichten erzähl'n
Und wie schön es doch da alles war, bevor Tonnen von Bomben hin und her flogen
Sie erzähl'n mir von Werten, die es heute nicht mehr gibt
Und Werten, von den'n kaum noch jemand mehr danach lebt
Ich hab' mich in den letzten zwei Jahr'n sehr bedeckt gehalten
Was auch die Kommunikation mit der Öffentlichkeit angeht
Musste viel ordnen im Kopf
Es gibt Momente, die dich auf dem Weg zu 'nem Star ausmachen
Und Momente, in den'n du nur noch wieder in dein altes Leben fliehen möchtest
Bevor dir noch keiner ein falsches Lächeln aufsetzen musste, um dir zu gefall'n
Ich hab' mich gefühlt wie 'n Alien unter all den Menschen
Und weißt du
Es ist ziemlich leicht, hier schnelles Geld zu machen und nur für morgen zu leben
Es war aber nie mein Ziel
Die echte Kunst dahinter ist es, deine Eltern aus dem Plattenbau zu hol'n
Menschen genauso zu lieben, wie sie dich lieben
Und den Namen Gottes immer tief in deinem Herzen zu halten
Das hier ist der Anfang meiner zweiten Platte
