Close (Icarus Rex) Lyrics by Akh (Free Akh)

For The Love of God

2021

[Chorus: Akh]
Please don't get too close to me
Please don't let me go
If you gon' leave don't let me know
On my knees I'm praying for truth, oh
I'm weak
But I'm stronger around you
Can't be wrong that I found you
Please don't get too close to me
[Verse: Akh]
It's not enough time
It's not enough trying
It's not enough
I'm just trying to get mine
You fine, but if you going
Just leave
No, I know I ain't gon' find
Another, I'm fine
Just wondering why
You all on my mind
The sun shines through the moon
Oh, I'm feeling weak
Seven days, spent it all in my head
Heaven ain't all what they told
It ain't all what they said
Far from my bed
It's far from the truth
Dark in my head
It's sparks in the booth
Stars getting farther
It's sharks in the water
It's part of the process
It's part and it's parcel
I know you can do both
So please
Please, don't leave me alone
Oh, Sweet Thing, You keep me going
Please don't get too close to me
[Verse: Akh]
And I'm tired of talking
Tired of trying to walk shit out
Tired of crying, I'm high and I'm lost, yeah
Trying to find purpose in Lost and Founds
And I've been afraid to find out
Prayed to mine, now all that's left is
Space and time, I'm made to shine
I'm safe and I've been blessed
And I'm trying to be cautious
Got butterflies and I'm nauseous
Trying to fly in the eye of the storm
Melted my wings, I was trying to fly into fire for warmth
God send help
Godsend
God send help
[Chorus: Akh]
Please don't get too close to me
Please don't let me go
If you gon' leave don't let me know
On my knees I'm praying for truth, oh
I'm weak
But I'm stronger around you
Can't be wrong that I found you
Please don't get too close to me
[Verse: 6ixteenth]
Why it feel like God don't care about me
Sometimes I feel like the chosen one, going in first
Lord are You still there talking to me?
Nowadays I can hardly tell
I can hardly tell
Yeah, You never show me Your face
And You never give me a break
So how could I tell
How could I tell
You never give me Your grace
And I know You just want to take
Take from me
Take from me
So Lord have mercy, everything's not what it seems
Don't need to be alone when you got teams
Multiple streams, methodical means of income
I've been popping a bean of wisdom
I'ma carry disease of rhythm
So Lord, are You gon' lock me in prison
Lord, are You gon' cover my vision
Cause I know that You never listen
But now I know that was the mission
This whole time
