here’s to all my exes Lyrics by Alana Springsteen

TWENTY SOMETHING (DELUXE)

2023

[Intro]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh
[Verse 1]
Here's to that guy who wasted my time
And the reason I hate drama
Here's to that guy everyone liked
'Til he pissed off my momma
The one who fell too fast
Couldn't commit
The one who ain't all bad
That I still kinda miss
I'm pourin' one out
For the ones that got me here now
[Chorus]
Here's to all my exes
I wish them all the best 'cause
Every goodbye led to something brand new
I learned a lot of things that I didn't want to
Here's to all my exes
Now it all makes sense 'cause
Every heartbreak that I ever went through
If I never had them
Then I wouldn't have you
[Verse 2]
Thanks to those fights
And all the tail lights
That sent me in the right direction
The "take me back" scars
2 a.m. bars
I learned some last call lessons
I wouldn't wanna change anything I been through
It's worth it right now when I'm looking at you
I'm fillin' this cup (Fillin' this cup)
Hell, I'm raisin' one up (Raisin' one up)
[Chorus]
Here's to all my exes (Exes)
I wish them all the best 'cause
Every goodbye led to something brand new
I learned a lot of things that I didn't want to
Here's to all my exes
Now it all makes sense 'cause
Every heartbreak that I ever went through
If I never had them
Then I wouldn't have you
[Bridge]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh (Mm)
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh
To all of those tears and wasted years (Ooh-ooh-ooh)
'Cause they're the reason that I'm here (Ooh)
[Chorus]
Here's to all my exes (Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh)
I wish them all the best 'cause (Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh)
Every goodbye led to something brand new (Ooh-ooh-ooh)
I learned a lot of things that I didn't want to (Ooh-ooh)
Here's to all my exes (Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh)
Now it all makes sense 'cause (Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh)
Every heartbreak that I ever went through (Ooh-ooh-ooh)
If I never had them (Ooh-ooh)
Then I wouldn't have you
(Here's to all my exes)
Oh, I wouldn't have you (Ooh-ooh-ooh)
So here's to all my exes (Ooh-ooh)
