Never Bout Us Lyrics by Alec Zamora

Nothing To Lose

2017

[Verse 1]
We had that connection (Hello?)
Well you knew it was (Uh.. Never mind)
There but we're scared of the two of us
And ain't fallin' no matter how true it was
Godamn
Plus
We
Smart enough to know we're clueless cause
You've been hurt and so have I
I see the pain all in your eyes
I'm sorry
For what I started
I'm workin' hard just to be an artist
My hungers starved me I'm bein' honest
I'll be a star it's not an easy target
I
Guess
That's why I'm not focused on the love
I'm just focused on the dream, all the money and the drugs
Well
[Hook: David Isaiah + Alec Zamora]
This was never bout us
This was never bout we
We can barely find love
And we can rarely feel free
This was never bout us
This was never bout we
We can barely find love
And we can rarely feel free
[Verse 2]
Wait
Let's take a minute
I smash then leave as fate diminishes
I pass out sleep then wake again
And you're asking me what I think of us (Um.. I don't know)
Do you actually think it could?
I'm lit, you're the match that I need and struck
You wish I'd act like I give a fuck
You've ashed on me so you see I'm blunt
And don't think I don't count my blessings
I drink got a lot of goose on the dresser
On the brink of defeating depression with love
Cause life is full of these lessons
So I roll on a session
Better flows on confessions
Better go cause you know when the weather pours only moment the heavens show you his presence
I wanna show where I'm headed
I wanna slow where I'm headed with you
Whatever to do...
[Hook: David Isaiah + Alec Zamora]
This was never bout us
This was never bout we
We can barely find love
And we can rarely feel free
This was never bout us
This was never bout we
We can barely find love
And we can rarely feel free
