forgot to forgive Lyrics by Alex Porat

MISS SICK WORLD

2020

[Verse 1]
I took all of our pictures down, there's tan lines on the wall
Deleted all our messages, tried to break the fall
I did what I was supposed to do to get over someone
But there's one thing I still haven't done
[Chorus]
It's late night, I'm lying in bed
Still getting angry 'bout something you said
Four years ago and I know that it's dead
But I forgot to forgive you
I'm wishin' that we never met
Wishin' this ache would get out of my chest
Dad always said to forgive and forget
But I forgot to forgive you
[Verse 2]
I wanted to believe in you, believe you were the one
I was so naive for you, I'm done with playing dumb
I tried to take the higher road, but drove into the ditch
It turns out that heartbreak's a bitch
[Chorus]
It's late night, I'm lying in bed
Still getting angry 'bout something you said
Four years ago and I know that it's dead
But I forgot to forgive you
I'm wishin' that we never met
Wishin' this ache would get out of my chest
Dad always said to forgive and forget
But I forgot to forgive you
[Bridge]
Ooh-ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh (Forgot to forgive)
Ooh-ooh-ooh (Oh-oh-oh), ooh-ooh-ooh (Oh-oh-oh)
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
[Chorus]
It's late night, I'm wasted in bed
Sending a paragraph off to my ex
I'm sure in the morning I'll have some regret
'Cause I forgot to forgive you (Forgot to forgive)
I'm wishin' that we never met
Wishin' this ache would get out of my chest
Dad always said to forgive and forget
But I forgot to forgive you
[Outro]
Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh (I forgot to forgive you)
Ooh-ooh-ooh (Forgot to forgive)
Ooh-ooh-ooh (Oh-oh-oh), ooh-ooh-ooh (Forgot to forgive you)
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
