Interlude Lyrics by Alex Simmons

Don’t Forget

2019

[Alex]
Dear world, I want you to understand that I'm not perfect. But I love everyone. On the other hand, I sometimes feel like what’s the point in working so hard at trying to do good and spreading positivity. I guess it's because I just want humanity to love each other. So, I try to lead by example. I've gone through so much in the past two years. I’ve experienced so much hurt and it's hard to move forward even though I want to. The same people that once told me that they loved me, not only turn their backs on me, but literally tried to destroy me. Not knowing that the person that they've hurt has a heart that's truly filled with purity and love. Or maybe they did know but just didn't care. It's one thing to hurt somebody through a mistake. But to intentionally try to hurt somebody, I don't get it. I'm just trying to figure it out

[Imogene]
Peep this. I don’t think none of us asked to be born. But you’re still here and a lot of people are wondering why. Life is tough and everybody goes through ups and downs. There've been things that have happened to us that are good, that are bad that’s really affected us in a negative way. And we're still trying to find our way through this thing called life, carrying all that baggage and all that pain. It's not easy and we often wonder, “Why? Why did this happen to me? Why do people treat me like this? Why do I have to go through this? Why, why, why, why?” And maybe we'll never understand. Maybe we’ll never figure it out. But I just believe everything happens for a reason and there's a reason everything happens. And so, all I can say is no, life is not easy and we've all been through some stuff. But by the fact that you're still here, you have purpose. All the things you've been thought, it doesn't equate to who you are. Life is throwing you some blows, people have done you wrong. But you're still here. And so, that means you need to keep going. I'll say this to you. I feel bad for your pain and your scars and your wounds. But you not a victim because you've outlived them and you're still here. So, reach for the stars and reach for the moon and don't focus on all that negative stuff that has happened to you. I believe it's happened because it's what was needed to happened in order to make you who you are. You have a purpose and I believe everything that you have endured was a recipe to be mixed together in the bowl of your soul to create the wonderful product that you are. I want you to remember these words that I say to you. You are not what you have experienced. You are that and so much more. You are the perfect you with all your wounds and your scars, and anything that could've happened to you. You are still the perfect you with a destiny that continues to unfold. You're perfect just as you are. You're PERFECTLY INCOMPLETE and you're only incomplete because you haven't delivered your destiny. So, don't worry about yesterday. Don't worry about tomorrow. In this moment, just know that you're more than enough, too much for some people, and ALL THAT for yourself. Always remember that and DON'T FORGET
