Cherry Wine Lyrics by Alex Slay

2020

[Intro]
Forget about you in the mornin'
Until then I'll keep on pouring
It's cherry wine
[Verse 1]
Honestly it's getting hard to breathe
Without you right here next to me
I'm slippin', I'm slippin', I'm slippin' away
I'm slippin', I'm slippin', I'm slippin' away
Searching for a little company
Pick your poison, tell me what you need
I'm slippin', I'm slippin', I'm slippin' away
[Pre-Chorus]
Down my cup to fill it back up
Don't know how I got so caught up
Thinkin' that we still had the real love
Pour me a drink
A shot, a toast to us
Down my cup to fill it back up
Told myself I didn't need yea
Thinkin' that we still had the real love
But for what?
[Chorus]
Forget about you in the mornin'
Until then I'll keep on pouring
It's cherry wine
Damn I know I'm losing focus
Self-medicated hypnosis
[Verse 2]
Fading in
I'm fading out
Getting blurry
Where am I right now?
Drinkin' till my lungs drown
I'm slippin', I'm slippin', I'm slippin' away
Velvet lips paired with thе coldest stare
See right threw mе
Strip me down, down
Barely hanging on now
(Barely hanging on now)
[Pre-Chorus]
Down my cup to fill it back up
Don't know how I got so caught up
Thinkin' that we still had the real love
Pour me a drink
A shot, a toast to us
Down my cup to fill it back up
Told myself I didn't need yea
Thinkin' that we still had the real love
But for what?
[Chorus]
Forget about you in the mornin'
(I wish I could)
Until then I'll keep on pouring (pouring)
It's cherry wine
Damn I know I'm losing focus
Self-medicated hypnosis
(Self-medicated hypnosis)
[Outro]
Forget about you in the mornin'
(I wish I could)
Until then I'll keep on pouring
It's cherry wine
Damn I know I'm losing focus
Everyone around has noticed (noticed)
In the mornin'
(I wish I could)
Forget about you in the mornin'
(I wish I could)
