Itis (blue whale) Lyrics by All Clear

Senioritis

0

[Verse 1]
Tropical vibe; that's just a side effect of the Senioritis
I'm laying back and loving life it's
Crazy to think it turned out like this
Things are going great; taught a couple kids how to beatbox the other day
Was offered a job where I used to ball, so I could finally say that I'm getting paid
Things didn't work out, but hey it's all good; there's no shame
I'm grateful these people believed in and supported me in the first place
And so life goes on, and dang it goes by fast
I'm frequently fly, redeeming my skills to build something that will last
'Cause one day I'm going to leave this world; in fact, I'm leaving one now
Moving from one small pond to an ocean with a bit more of a crowd
Which is a euphemism, to say the least
But im excited and I can't believe
That next year I'mma be in a place that I used to only see in dreams
I've got a beat up lunchbox, with the logo on it to inspire
Been carryin' that around since second grade, guess it's time for it to retire
I don't know what there is ahead, and I'm living in the now
Reminiscing on these past years, I know time won't let me down
[Hook]
They tried to offer me help, said I wouldn't make it by being me
Said I wouldn't be able to prove myself, well I guess this is QED
They told me that I needed help, that I shouldn't just be me
Told me it'd be hard to prove myself, well I guess this is QED
[Verse 2]
I started from where Aubrey says he did
I used to be that kid that never fit
Always wanted to be the center of attention; since then, I've started payin' it
Found a couple friends along the way, who stick with me even when I fall
And in the fall, we're gonna be separated in one way but also not at all
And best part of it all, is that I found some genes that fit me
And im not talkin about the type that comes from Levi's or APC
Got a mom, dad, and sister, cousins; yeah, that's the family
Already heard about them in the last track, but hey, they've meant so much to me
Life is a terminal; thankfully, my flight's been delayed to a later date
While I'm here, I might as well just hang around and play some games
Do some duty free shopping; we all want a duty-free profit
But from what I've learned, you got to work to get to the top and I ain't stopping
I've played from Nemo to Mozart to the nursing home right down the road
Wrote a few poems too; won a free notebook and a few golds
But what goes up must come down; there are plenty of losses on my record
Failure's not a dead-end, just an unplanned detour
[Hook}
They tried to offer me help, said I wouldn't make it by being me
Said I wouldn't be able to prove myself, well I guess this is QED
They told me that I needed help, that I shouldn't just be me
Told me it'd be hard to prove myself, well I guess this is QED
