5 Needs/Wants from Nas’ Eleventh Studio Album Lyrics by Almighty U-Sorcerer

Needs & Wants

0

1. A feature from JAY-Z
JAY-Z and Nas have collaborated together on five songs, I believe. Not completely sure on that one. Whether I'm right or wrong, the fact still remains that there should be more JAY x Nas collaborations. Hova's "4:44" album touches on racism and relationships, and I'm sure Nas could make an incredible song using those themes as training wheels.
2. Illmatic style art
The cover art for Illmatic is easily one of the most iconic album covers of all time, influencing not only rappers such as Lil Wayne, but musicians of all genres like Zayn Malik. The style of cover used on Illmatic was also used on Nas' next three albums, featuring a face and a backdrop, usually New York. Wouldn't it be such a nice callback to the classic debut to have a cover that gives off memories of the first time you heard "N.Y. State of Mind?"
3. DJ Premier production
As beautiful as a Nas album produced entirely by Kanye West sounds, the last time Premier produced a Nas album cut was 2001's "2nd Childhood". A Nas album featuring exclusively Premier's production was announced, but never ever came to fruition. The two collaborated on some hits that were crucial to both of their careers, including the aforementioned "N.Y. State of Mind", "Nas Is Like", "Represent" and "I Gave You Power", the track that inspired "Me and My Girlfriend" by 2Pac. Why not add another hit to that list?
4. Not too many features
"Life Is Good" had features but not so much features that the amount of Nastradamus in the album is underwhelming. Hopefully, this upcoming album follows in the same footsteps.
5. The complete opposite of "It's Secured"
Goddamn, I hated "It's Secured". As much as I love both Travis Scott and Nas, this was one of the worst songs I have ever heard. I'm not the smartest for thinking a DJ Khaled track would be any good. Everything on Khaled's albums is so rushed and overdone that it's pointless to even get anticipated for it. I'd be open to hear another Nas and Trav track. Just as long as it's the absolute opposite of that terrible song.
