We tried, we tried. Lyrics by Ama Lou

Ama, who?

2019

[Intro]
I came home late, you were not there
I didn't care, I think we
Both know it's over
We need to let it go
(Ayy, oh, oh, oh)
[Chorus]
I came home late, you were not there
I didn't care, I think we
Both know it's over (I think we're done)
I need to let it go (No, honestly, I think we're done)
He needs to let it go
We need to let it go
Both know it's over
Can we please let it go?
[Verse 1]
I can't believe we're at a point where we don't like each other's (I can't believe)
Company, when you're not around, the burden's off my shoulders (Phew)
We've tried (We tried, we tried)
But it won't get revived (Revived, revived)
And I've got too much life to live
And I gave all I can give, meanwhile (And I gave all, I gave it all to you)
I'll wait to love again (Would you wait for love again?)
Who will be first?
Let me go (Please)
[Chorus]
I came home late, you were not there
I didn't care, I think we
Both know it's over
You need to let it go (I know it's time we do better)
I need to let it go (I need to know I can let up)
We need to let it go
Both know it's over
I pray we let it go
[Post-Chorus]
I came home late (Say what?), you were not there
I didn't care, I think we (I did not care)
Both know it's over (Can you please let it go?)
[Verse 2]
I saw you, you saw me (I saw you in the crowd)
I felt you and you felt me
Two became one (Two became one), two became one
But the foundation (But the foundation)
Was weak and when it cracked, it
Couldn't be fixed and you bring up all the old shit that don't concern (Oh, I couldn't fix it even if I tried)
You and me (Fighting, fighting, fighting)
Sick of fighting to love again (So sick of fighting)
Who will be first?
Let me go
[Chorus]
I came home late, you were not there
I didn't care, I think we
Both know it's over (Oh, woah)
I think we need to (Let it go)
Can you please (Let it go?)
Let it go, let it go now (Let it go)
Both know it's over
We need to (Let it go)
[Post-Chorus]
I came home late, you were not there
I didn't care, I think we
Both know it's over
Think we should (Let it go), let it go
[Bridge]
Keep me up after a long day
Oh, I don't mind, it won't change
Can you evaporate?
I'm thinking I can play the queen in my own game
[Interlde]
Let it left, let it right
I think our love is best out of sight
I'm so sick of fighting
Let it left, let it right
I think our love is best out of sight ('Cause we know we ain't shit)
So sick, so sick of fighting (You know this nigga super smacked, like, he is bionic smacked)
[Outro]
I came home, you were not
I didn't care, I think we (You on some drunk shit right now, like)
Both know it's over, I need to (You done had mad shots, Courvoisier and, no, no, it's time)
Uh, we need to (It's time to go)
Both need to (Why you keep singing the same shit? Like)
Both know it's over (No, we need to, you need to)
We need to (Well, fucking let it go, like)
Let it left, let it right (Bitch, you tried it, I denied it)
I think our love is best out of sight (So, somebody comin' outside)
(These hands is lethal, fuck)
