King of the Koopas (Super Mario Brothers 3) Lyrics by Ambassadors of Funk

Super Mario Compact Disco

1993

[Intro]
Super Mario Compact Disco
(The king)
[Verse 1]
Now in your NES, at its best
Mario Bros. 3 is fresh
8-bit and packed with a boom
And you're off to the kingdom of the Magic Mushroom
So get with the flow and act like you know
Or you may as well be playing bingo
'Cause it's official, 'cause every test that passes
Mario Brothers are cool like sunglasses
[Verse 2]
Now fly, swing, jump or climb
With the bestselling game of all time
You got so many heroes from coast to coast
But then, Superman won't even come close
So for Koopa and his villainous crews
I ain't got nothing except for bad news
'Cause it's official, and every test that passes
Mario Brothers are cool like sunglasses
[Verse 3]
Now even our hero has his dream
To rescue the princess and make her a queen
But nobody knows where the north wind blows
Maybe it's somewhere over the rainbow
We can set up home fit for a saint
And do it over in Mario Paint
'Cause it's official, and every test it passes
Mario Brothers are cool like sunglasses
