Hours into Lee’s deep sleep, Lee was awoken by her phone ringing. Wondering what time it was, and who was calling, Lee finally picked up the phone. Apparently her brother was calling her over something.
“W-what Jayy?” Lee asked, rubbing her eyes, trying to get herself to wake up.
“Sorry for waking you up at this time, but just yesterday, Lilith said her first word. Jeffree and I have it on film so you can see it when you get back,” Jayy replied with a gentle laugh.
Lee gasped loud enough to wake Jinxx up, “S-she did w-what?” Lee asked as Jinxx wrapped his arms around her waist.
“Yeah. First word, Lee. You’d be surprised what she said though. Jinxx would be proud,” Jayy replied with another laugh.
Lee smiled, even though Jayy couldn’t see her, Lee beamed ear to ear in the brightest smile.
“T-that’s great news, Jayy. W-we’ll be back sometime later tonight. T-thank you for letting me know, I’ll s-see you later. Goodbye, Jayy,” Lee replied as she hung up the phone.
Jinxx looked down at his wife, who had laid back down, “What was that all about? He does know that L.A. and San Diego are in the same time zone, right? Baby, it’s two in the morning,” Jinxx questioned as he laid back down next to Lee.
Lee yawned as she tried to stay awake, “First w-word, babe. Lilith s-said her first w-word, and s-she’s only a few m-months old. I’m s-so proud of her,” Lee replied, as she tried to curl up to Jinxx’s chest.
Jinxx chuckled deeply as he settled off to sleep, as Lee did the same, knowing the long drive ahead for both of them.
Lee woke up hours later, still thinking of what Jayy had told her hours prior to waking up. Jinxx was still asleep, as it was pretty early in the morning. Gently rolling out of bed, Lee decided to surprise Jinxx, as he was always doing something nice for her. After taking a quick shower, Lee quietly tipped-toed over to the phone, and ordered breakfast for the both of them.
As soon a room service arrived, Lee quickly ate her breakfast, and tried to wake Jinxx up.
“Jinxx! Babe, w-wake up,” Lee said after Jinxx decided to go back to bed.
“Lee, honey, it’s too early. Go back to bed,” Jinxx groaned out after Lee tried to wake him up for the third time.
Lee sighed, “Jinxx. Get up. I w-want to s-see my daughter, and you’re t-the only one who knows how t-to get back to L.A.,” Lee told Jinxx in her very stern voice.
Jinxx groaned again as he finally woke up, “You are so cute when you’re angry,” Jinxx told Lee, “I see you ordered breakfast,” Jinxx observed as he caught a pair of pants and a shirt Lee threw at him.
Lee nodded, “It’s s-so you have enough energy t-to drive back home. I w-want to s-see my daughter,” Lee replied as she sat down next to Jinxx.
“Lee. If you were gonna sit down next to me, why did you throw me my clothes?” Jinxx asked as he finished his breakfast.
“W-well, I w-wanted t-to s-see how good your catch w-was, babe,” Lee replied, gently laying her head on Jinxx’s shoulder.
After making sure everything was neat and tidy, Jinxx and Lee began their trip home. Lee was eager to see her daughter again.
“Lee?” Jinxx asked at least an hour into their trip home.
“Yes, baby?” Lee questioned back, wondering what he wanted.
Jinxx wrapped his right hand in Lee’s left as he spoke, “You’ve never told me Lilith’s middle name. Care to share?” Jinxx finally asked.
Lee sighed, she forgot to tell Jinxx Lilith’s middle name, “Cassandra. Lilith Cassandra Ferguson,” Lee replied as she looked over at Jinxx.
“Cassandra? What made you think of that, darling?” Jinxx asked as he removed his hand from Lee’s.
“W-well, s-she was given a demon first name, and her middle name means man’s defender, or w-warrior,” Lee replied, “Besides, you gave Lilith her first name. It s-serves me right t-to give her a middle name,” Lee added.
Jinxx nodded in agreement, “Fair enough. Try and relax, babe. We’re about an hour away,” Jinxx informed his wife, who had slumped down in the seat, hoping for a nap.
