GOI Lyrics by Andrew Blair

OZZY

2020

[Marc Lewis]: In those regions that seem to be responsible for self control. That’s what happens when people quit. And by the way I should just note that people, addicts generally do quit. Not everybody knows that. But the majority of addicts for any kind of substance, and even heroine, end up quitting. And it varies the time frame and proportion varies with each substance. With cocaine the average duration of an addiction is 4 years. With marijuana if you smoke it compulsively it’s 6 years, with alcohol it’s 15 years, and with tobacco it’s 25 years. So that’s the really evil one. On average if you start smoking today, on average, you will stop in 25 years. That’s not really a good thing
I’m not one to lay down and die
This two handed worship
Dreamers get killed and dreams die
I feel no pain
I need to get myself over this
I need to move on
I’m begging for help, please
I need to get myself over this
One time is all it takes
Insecure and unaware
I need a tragedy to blow the high
A tragedy to blow this
Do you have to be dirty to get clean
The in between place
If you could float on an acid bath
Or bathe in the aftermath
I feel no pain
I need to get myself over this
I need to move on
I’m begging for help, please
I need to get myself over this
You there, no shame
You need to get yourself over this
Maintain the illusion
That rests right underneath the surface
I’ll miss you when I’m
I’ll miss you
I’ll miss you when I’m
Delayed gratification
You’ve got to stop
I’ve got to stop
You’ve got to stop
I’ve got to stop
You must (I can’t)
You must (I won’t)
You must (I can’t)
You must (I won’t)
Don’t go, please don’t leave me here
I’m not sure I have someone else after this
“Major Dosage reporting here, yes, we’ve talked to a few people right here on the ground see, and, well, they’re just not responsive. I don’t think they want to talk, or…. um, well, they’re, not breathing.”
Who are we if we can’t protect them?
(who are we if we can’t remember?)
Who are we?
Men are men but sheep are nervous
Forgot myself, my own name
Altered when I met you
I’ll hide these parts of me
Who am I when i’m alone
I’m on a binge
I’m on a bender
(Me and you
You and me)
Get deeper, walk slower
(I want you to know
Tell me you love me)
Kiss me, hit me
I’m on a binge
I’m on a bender
(Me and you
You and me)
