Intro Lyrics by Anica Russo

Woke Up Dreaming

2021

[Verse]
My parents always taught me that everything in life happens for a reason
Sometimes I, I knew that and I trust in these words
But what I had to experience is that people aren't able to be wide awake all the time
People cannot remember and never forget, people fall asleep
I might have fallen asleep, blindly walking through life
Floating, unaware of what I really wanted
What I wanted to do and wanted to be
Suddenly a wake-up call
I realized I was falling asleep and everything seemed to be torn apart
And I needed some time
Time to remember my parents’ words
Everything happens for a good reason
And will finally take you to the place you're meant to be
I forget, I remember, and I woke up dreaming
Now, here's what I see, what I feel, and who I want to be
And how I’d see clearer with my eyes and my mind is wide awake
Until it falls asleep again
But dream on together
Woke up dreamin'
