Pop Punk Sucks Lyrics by Anndy Negative

2022

I’ve spent most of my life trying to be just like blink-182
I’m stuck back in 1999 making dick jokes trying to get through
I’ve learned every lyric and every chord and every song from Green Day
I’ve wasted all of my life, sorry mom it wasn’t a phase
It’s so lame I don’t want to grow up
Cause I was raised on pop punk
Every band I played in was terrible
And pop punk sucks
Pop punk sucks
Pop punk sucks
I’ve spent most of my life trying to write a hit song, but I’m so out of touch
I don’t know what’s blowing up these days, I can’t keep up
I’ve got a thesaurus and three chords, but all of those have missed
I should name drop another band, Sum 41, Descendents
Ah, I’m sure someone’s made a playlist
It’s so lame I don’t wanna grow up
Cause I was raised on pop punk
Every band I played in was terrible
But we had fun
I’m still chasing that dream
But it’s more like a nightmare, I’m stuck in a nightmare
I just can’t give up
Cause I’m a glutton for punishment
And pop punk sucks
Yea pop punk sucks
And pop punk died but
Maybe if I keep waiting
Pop punk will come back to life
Then I can ride that sweet wave of popularity
Or maybe one of the bands I love will take me out on tour
Guys I swear I will play five minutes after doors open
I don’t give a
It’s so lame I don’t wanna grow up
Cause I was raised on pop punk
Every band I played in was terrible
But we had so much fun
I’m still chasing that dream
But it’s more like a nightmare, I’m stuck in a nightmare
I just can’t give up
Cause I’m a glutton for punishment
And pop punk sucks
