Our feet hang free but nobody ever sees us, but they smell the smoke when the shelter’s burning down. And it always does, maybe once a yеar, knee deep in soot left back at square one. Start ovеr just as I’d begun. I just can’t keep up running laps for the franchise that leaves me in the cold. So I hide my head under the sand with all the nicest guys you’ll probably never know. When the sun goes down close the door on the moon whose light is light enough to hold. What if I go blind in the dark all alone? It’s been so long since I’ve had a really nice dream. I suspect all the comforting ones are telling lies. The tree leaves lean in at terrifying angles and the beautiful girls all have shadows in their eyes. They peel off their masks, covered up in glass, I finally see before I arise. Most nights they wear that same disguise. But I wake again and they all look fine. I just can’t keep up running laps for the franchise… So I hide my head under the sand with all the nice guys… When the sun goes down close the door on the moonlight… What if I go blind in the dark all alone? With a tree burned down plant a seed hope it grows. I couldn’t dream of a better life, now that I’m completely on my own
