Contrast Lyrics by Ark The Rapper

The Contrast Tape

2018

[Intro Will Evans ]
Imagine something deep inside
That fear and logic can not hide
The memory never leaves your mind
Your greatest enemy is time
It's been buried for so long
You must write that hateful wrong
Justice must be paid, it's due
[?]
There never was a turning back
Now it's time to fade to black
[Verse Ark The Rapper]
Yeah, Welcome to the Contrast Tapes
Where you feel in place
From those who undergo in selling Bape
Or those who love the bass
Names ark the rapper
They always ask did he build a boat?
But I just said I'm ark the rapper
Not Ark the Trapper
Look into that one a little bit more
Just starting out so I can't afford Versace for the floor
But I do have a little Christian Dior
A little bit of Raf Simmions
I need you to see my visions
So I started off this EP
Firstly shoutout to snt
She brought me here
She taught me the dream was clear
But those dreams are goals now
We're switching up the controls now
Sit back, Relax
I'm gonna lay some facts
I remember I wasn’t even a teen
Kanye blasting in the stereo
That shit got me so keen
Started rapping and I was just an embryo
Check check, that 2 1 3
My rhymes were whack, but it was the dream I could see
So I started writing down
Listening to more rhymes
Producing all the time
Getting it right
Became a teen and emotions, they started crying
Long Distance with a girl, but her heart was lying
Learnt the hard way, but I stopped relying
So now I have a few mains that keep me from sighing
SNT, Hayden Ghee, LBA, Joshy V
KCT, ALK, even Brit and Jacky D
Had so many people talk shit while I was gone
But now I'm born
Used to be A$APEN but that’s the last we will hear from him
Name is ark the rapper, and I'm better than the modern day slim
