Christmas Decisions Lyrics by Arrion Mathue

Singing to Myself

0

It’s December and even though I’m not religious
Don’t believe in ‘New Year New Me’, I’m not superstitious
No tree, mass, or gifts, I don’t follow traditions
Still, it’s time for me to make some Christmas Decisions
Headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore once said
We must choose between what is easy and what is right, well
Personally, I think that’s a bit of a false dichotomy
At least without at stake any moral quandary
The Grass is Grayer
Whichever side of this fence I stay
This Christmas, I don’t have to think about gifts, in-
Stead, I have to think about some more important things
Things of which I’m not thinking about, I’m skiving
Instead, I’m over here with this song that I’m writing
I could stay where I am, I could go with the flow
But when the time comes, will I think I’ve done the right thing though
If I try my luck to go carpe the diem
Will I remain a player or can I be my own DM?
It’s December and even though I’m not religious
Don’t believe in ‘New Year New Me’, I’m not superstitious
No tree, mass, or gifts, I don’t follow traditions
Still, it’s time for me to make some Christmas Decisions
The Grass is Grayer
Whichever side of this fence I stay, yeah
The Grass is Grayer
Whichever side of this fence I stay, yeah
