Funky Freshmen Lyrics by Atomic Blonde

2019

You better watch out - you’re feeling the pressure
‘Cuz with ‘23 the freshest freshmen even fresher
Wow, this song is fire - hope you’re feelin the heat
2023 IS THE CLASS TO BEAT
Wake up in the morning I pull on my checkered vans
Dippin my acrylics onto my scrunchied hands
I walk to where my mom is waiting in the jeep
Open up S-I-S and then i start to weep (oooo)
My mom says “what? Did u get a B?”
I say “Yes, mom”
She says “YA YEET”is
In the band room, we’re not allowed to drink
And I’m super innocent (so everybody thinks)
But when I get thirsty, I don’t even askW
Before I pull a secret sippy from my hydroflask
(Sksksk)
TJ-HS-ST, class of ‘23
I’ll give u four reasons it’s the place to be
(number 1) Diversity, there’s people of all sorts
(2) the counselors, we get lots of support-
(3) Whole lotta good kids, few problems to report
(4), you know this one (WE CAME HERE FOR THE SPORTS)
{Beat slows down slightly, gets quieter}
(Ayyo, you know what time it is! (uh huh)
Yuh
Finest freshmen (yuh)
We’re never restin’
Varsity ballers
Prodigy scholars
Harvard dropout
Princeton grad
You’d never know it, but we the baddest of the bad
You better watch out - you’re feeling the pressure
‘Cuz with ‘23 the freshest freshmen even fresher
21, 22, 2020
We’re coming after you)
Lot of cool new things we’re doing with IBET
We booted salamanders (now our socks won’t get wet)
In with bio-fuel, out with oil from EXON
Increase sustainability back in the doughnut Econ!
Might just go and try my chances out at TJ MUN
I’m feeling pretty good this year (cuz football finally won!)
But next year at home games, don’t just sit in the stands
You should join the battery in TJ marching band
Deer poop, and i oop-
The latin kids have formed a coup
We’re all ballers - hit those hoops
And put this beat back on a loop!
Hey, we may be lookin just like newcomers
But 60s, pretty gnarly (totally tubular)
Show to my morning classes right on the hour
You’re just not ready for the freshies flower power
Wait, is the MEX song grading biased?
Why are freshies number 1 but we don’t score the highest?
We’re the most clever, we rap the fastest
Y’all still favor upperclassmen (wow, really classist)
Come on 23! Get together, overpower!
(I really hope we win this or its sad freshie hours)
You better watch out - you’re feeling the pressure
‘Cuz with ‘23 the freshest freshmen even fresher
(23, honestly, WE HAVE NO CAP
And with that, i’m out that’s a wrap on the rap)
