Dear Family, Lyrics by Austin Blue

2020

I'm free now/ Instead of lying about/
What I believe in/ Instead of running around/
The broken pieces/ I'm educating this house/
I know, I'm finally thinking out loud/
For the first time in my life/
I think I'm on the right side of my mind/
I... I'm educating this house/
Dear family/ I'm coming out/
I like a guy you want him to be a girl/
I can't change that 'cause he's my whole fucking world/
Can you give me grace/ Cause for you I did, I really wanted to be what you wanted/
When I was a kid, uh, so I locked myself in my room/ pray to a god
Told him "tell me what to do."/
Then I was told/
I wasn't gonna be holy enough unless I was alone. (alone, alone.)/
I'm free now/Instead of lying about/
What I believe in/ Instead of running around/
The broken Pieces/ I'm educating this house (yeah)/
I know I'm finally thinking out loud/
For the first time in my life/ I think that I'm finally on the right side of my mind/ I, I'm educating this house, dear family, I'm coming out/
(coming out)/ (coming out)/ I'm coming out/ (dear family, I'm coming out)/ (coming out)/Dear Family, I'm coming out/
This, is, the first time/ That, I've, Felt alive/All you have to do/ Is love, So love me if you want to/
This, is, the first time/ That, I've, Felt alive/All you have to do/ Is love, So love me if you want to/
