The Rise Lyrics by AWNI

The Rise

2015

[Verse 1: AWNI]
Young brethren it's time that I behold my shrine
Enter the kingdom and say it is mine
Don't mess with nobody and Im still fine
If you are alone you'll be richer that's wisdom in trying
You don't believe me you think that I'm Lyin
Spitting the truth and connecting the lines
Severing melodies with every rhyme
It's the beginning but you're still behind
Considered defensive like Optimus prime
Freestyling recklessly off of my mind
These thoughts they just get to me I take what is mine
No it's not written and is not derived
Yo where is Awni, In Palestine"
Checked in location at 10 before 5
I am not new to this bullshit I'm live
Rapping it faster to show you Im live
[Hook: AWNI]
This is the rise
This is rise, open your eyes, but focus on prize
This is the rise
Every single day I'm refreshing my sound cloud page checking to see if I got some more plays
Setbacks of getting to the top, competition is everywhere but you know some must get dropped
Nothing we can do about it either
Feeling too sick I think I caught a fever
This shit is too hard I spilt blood in my Cesar, always had a Bright mind but now I'm feeling like the grim-reeper
Giving power all at once so listen to thus peaceful
Then in the end get leveled off and try not to diss either
I'm doing something right tell from my demeanor
Sipping some more water now my system cleaner
It is three in the morning and I'm spitting freedom...
The child of the truth, findem' when you needem'
Should I drop this single?
PJ said feed em
Maher said eat em
Ctrl alt delete em
I am the one that they try to seduce
That never works cuz I'm spittin the truth
Open your mind and you'll see what I prove
Don't sleep on me either I'm young but not new
Turning my bedroom up into Taboo
Pieces of clothing that I just remove
They say that I'm rich, but this not true
Well at least in my case it's nothing new
Born into power but a lot to improve
Yeah I got a Benz but my minds not pursued
This isn't shit, go get a bent coupe
Work for it harder, open your head
The richest of the rich at a point had no bread
Because 1 shot now 2 shots with 3 shots your dead
They aim for your soul then they aim for your head
The rise to the top in my own ways I lead
[Hook: AWNI]
My girls are all cute no make up is needed
Hoeish for me but an angel to streetness
Opprobrious buck and I don't pledge allegiance
Do not know her background I'll guess she is heathen
After I'm done she's created a river
Can't move her legs until I Um finish up
You want a taste
When I finish sir
Thank you come again
Do you get the picture
No, I guess you don't
I left you a note
And left you a quote
12 million bucks
Put some in my coat
Some in my bag
The rest in my boat
Send em back home
Spread to my folks
This ain't a moat
Sleeping on me
Well then keep awoke
Be quiet I spoke
Be careful to choke
Watchin your tone
Don't make me provoke
The lane is so open
Cracking the code
Please take some notes
The rise is no joke
Because I'm cracking the codes
Please take some notes
You know, The Rise is no joke
