Blind and Def Lyrics by The Blind MC

1987

[Intro Dumbo]
Did you ever see an elephant fly
Did you ever see an elephant fly
Well I seen a horse fly
Did you you ever see an elephant fly
Well I seen a horse fly
I seen a dragon fly
I seen all that too
I seen a peanut stand
I heard a rubber band
I seen a needle that winked its eye
But I be done seen about everything when I see a elephant fly
I say when I see an elephant fly
That's the wrong record blind man. Can't you hear?
Huh? What?
[The Phantom]
Beethoven was deaf, Stevie Wonder is blind
But that didn't stop them from rockin' good time
[Blind MC]
They paved the way for me Kid Seth
The only MC that's blind and def
[Hook]
Huh? What? Who turned out them lights? Huh?
Blind and def
Blind and def
What? Huh? What?
Blind and def
Blind and def
[Blind MC]
Def as can be and blind as a bat
That's the way it is cause it's like that
I got the mike
[Phantom and Tic Toc]
And we got his back
[Blind MC]
I wear sun glasses
[Phantom and Tic Toc]
The lenses are black
[Blind MC]
Blind by design and def by request
Listen up boy I will break down the rest
I got the Phantom to my right Tic Tocs on my left
I'm chillin' in the middle cold blind and def
[Hook]
People call me crippled but that's a lie
They're just mad cause I'm so fly
Being handicapped is a state of mind
I'm not disabled I'm just blind
Going to the concert checking out Madonna
Thinking of ways that we can get on her
Going to the hoop game just to boo the ref
We are the crew that's blind and def
[Hook]
[The Blind Def Crew]
Some of these rappers wear glasses so they can see
Like homie Philly Phil and blood named DMC
That's alright for them but not right for me
Even with glasses, he still can't see
I wear sunglasses like Stevie and Ray
We're 3 blind brothers cold getting paid
I had 5 senses there's only 4 left
That's not ill, that's blind and def
[Hook]
[The Blind Def Crew]
The blind def crew you know we're fly
3 of us, but we got 4 eyes
When I say 4 eyes, I don't mean specs
At the end of this I get a check
I got 2 eyes they are made of plastic
For five Gs they look fantastic
What is blind and def? I'll break it on down
Blind is no sight def is no sound
