New Classic Lyrics by Banshee (Producer)

A Better Class of Rapper - EP

2013

[Verse 1]
Been rocking Old Navy since the old days
You could say that I'm back to my old ways
Cause hell yeah I evolved
Breathe new life in the game, problem solved
I wish, I still lack anything original
And my whole movement is kinda pitiful
Adam Sandler Gang, yeah we do it minimal
Just tryna make do with the typical
NBA Jam like this my sport
And I be going HAM, put the pork on my fork
Sometimes I wonder if my parents did abort
Would their lives be any different than they were before
Sorry, lost my train of thought but found it back on the track
Just a kid who grew up on Lays chips and Big Macs
Coca-Cola, that's my drink of preference
I keep it classy with that elegance and eloquence
A lot of y'all are probably asking who the hell is this
Well just sit yourself down and hear a fella spit
Want me to rap about my swag? That's irrelevant
I ain't got nothing to prove, homie, I am legit
This music is my life and I don't plan to quit
I've put in too much work to just abandon it
Stay spitting that random shit
I got the spark like the candle lit
Sheezy
[Hook]
This the new classic
This the new classic
Damn right
Yeah, this the new classic
This the new classic
[Verse 2]
Tune in to the revolution
The state of hip hop got your mind on pollution
These rappers nowadays don't know what they're doing
Running their mouths, then they mourn 'bout the shootings
Representer for the youth, I'm a shoo in
Not a conscious rapper but I stay clued in
In a genre of drugs, violence and misogyny
It's hard not to get caught up in the monotony
But substance over style, that's my policy
My life story, I'll just give it to you honestly
A lot of MCs play games like Monopoly
I just play the game so well you'd think I was a prodigy
But now hip hop is a part of me
Look deep into my eyes, it isn't hard to see
Banshee's the name, heartbreaking
As far as I can see rap's mine for the taking
As I step on the scene in my Bluenotes jeans
That I've been rocking since I was sixteen
With my kicks so clean, Addidas
Can't leave rap alone, the game needs us
New God Flow like a hip hop elitist
Whether riding in a Lambo or carpooling in a Prius
I'mma pull up to the spot looking like Jesus
LORD!
[Hook]
This the new classic
This the new classic
Damn right
Yeah, this the new classic
Sound fantastic
