Backstroke Lyrics by Barny Fletcher

JETPACK

2022

[Hook]
Hey pretty girl
Why ain't you mine?
Deep dive
See what you find
Me, I
Gon treat you nice
Seaside
Palm trees and wine
Hey kitty, kit kat
Way too fine
1 shot
Don't feel too kind
2 shots
Make me feel wild
3 shots
Gon make me slide
[Verse 1]
I had mad mad dream just the other night
I took a look at my back had a set of wings
I was told by her voice in the sky
I should fly through the night
When it's light I'll find better things
So I flew through the sky, rain in my eyes
Looked down once couldn't feign the surprise
What I saw was a land of amazement and light
And I thought
What a shame shoulda came with the guys
Then came my demise
I was shot from the high
Started spiraling down
Tried open my eyes and awake from this nightmare
No luck
Oh fuck
Now I'm fighting for air
Cold blue got me drowning
Thrashing around
Scream from my lungs that don't make a sound
With her name on my mind in my final stand
As I'm fading out
She took my hand and she said
[Chorus]
Teach you how to swim
No this ain't the shallow end
You should start off with a Backstroke
Where do I begin?
Maybe do a couple widths
Touch the edge and turn right back (woah)
Holla holla holla
Baby, sing the fuckin song cause you a natural
Teach you how to swim
No this ain't the shallow end
You should start off with a Backstroke
[Hook]
Hey pretty girl
Why ain't you mine?
1 shot
Don't feel too kind
2 shots
Make me feel wild
3 shots
Gon make me slide
[Verse 2]
Everybody say they got ya
But funny thing is when you need them
That’s when they go
I got wined and dined at Benihanas
If they gave me commas I'd give them my soul
I said no to that
I can’t fuck with that
When you say music first that's when they fold
Listened to Jay-Z say industry shady yeah
I know it's crazy but that's how it goes yeah
But imma be up in this bitch till I'm Top 5
And I'm never gonna stop at a stop lights
And I got your fucking back if you got mine
Yeah imma be up in this bitch till I'm Top 5
With a smirk and nerf, not a Glock9
I ain't felt quite this good in a long time
Oh the sign on the edge say 'Do Not Dive'
So imma dive right in (oh)
[Chorus]
Teach you how to swim
No this ain't the shallow end
You should start off with a Backstroke
Where do I begin?
Maybe do a couple widths
Touch the edge and turn right back (woah)
Holla holla holla
Baby sing the fuckin song cause you a natural
Teach you how to swim
No this ain't the shallow end
You should start off with a Backstroke
[Outro]
Makes us both go (ah)
You and me maybe we should backstroke
Make us go so far
You and me maybe we could backs-
