Careful Ye Church Lyrics by Big Teach

0

Careful ye church!
Who hast thou truly followed?
standing among the rich,
your parking lots extend for miles;
the narthex replaced by a bookstore,
a Bible costs just 2 month's salary.
passing the poor by,
your sanctuaries grow larger;
the offering is no longer God's,
but belongs to a board's vote.
bickering over worship,
your members gnash one another;
the grace of salvation
hinges upon powerpoints.
clamoring for armageddon,
your praise cares but for the end;
the revelation from on high
has literally been left behind.
flipping the switch,
your flesh craves violence;
the woman caught in sin
is now brutally stoned.
praying for blessings,
your hopes rest on osteen;
the gift of suffering
no more proceeds from heaven.
preaching at those sinners,
your pulpit is laughable;
the mic breeds arrogance
as ego becomes gospel.
cursing all criticism,
your zeal is deadly;
the Body sent out returns
with the world's head on a lance.
Careful ye church!
Who hast thou truly followed?
