Deja Vu Lyrics by Blaklez

A Broken Man’s Dream

2015

[Intro: Blaklez & Steve Biko]
(Aah yes!)
And It is only, I think when black people are so dedicated and so united in their cause that we can effect the greatest results.

[Verse 1: Blaklez]
Is it a dream or a nightmare?
I'm telling you my darkest secrets and I'm hoping that you might care
See the devil, he don't fight fair
So I gotta pray for myself and all my friends who don't like prayer
Dark times made a man out of a childish me
The pain tried to maim me but they could never silence me
We so young, you understand what we tryna be!?
We tryna eat, In this dollar based economy
I just lost my moms & gran'
Damn, what a week!
My consolation is if they were, they'd be proud of me
Higher being, plus my love for Kopano is guiding me
I inspire people, they don't know that they inspire me
My intention's not a mystery cause I'm see through
Now that's a negative to people who don't see the truth
No illusions about, what I need to do
Cause everybody lost faith, they all wanna see the proof
Girls find me interesting, I'm tryna find myself
No time for birds cause I'm tryna fly myself
Girls find me interesting, I'm tryna find myself
No time for birds cause I'm tryna fly myself

[Interlude: Steve Biko]
My worst fears are that, working on the present analysis, to arrive at a more equitable distribution of wealth. I think there is no running away from the fact now that in South Africa there is such an ill distribution of wealth. Meaningful change to occur, there needs to be an attempt at reorganising the whole economic pattern

[Verse 2: Blaklez]
We all wanna have a nice house, where the generator kicks in ,when the lights out
And my clothes getting lined up by the help
Bed rotates when I lie it down, when I lie it down
Okay, that's a little bit shallow
What you expect from a nigga that never had dough?
I'm doing me, what you mad for?
You niggas ain't say nothin', when I had to carry that cross
This my life my nigga
Word of advice, worry about your own life my nigga
I've been beat down and I had to get up
Some of my people are dead broke and they wanna pull the trigger
We giving hope to the hopeless
How you gon' get what you really need if you don't really focus?
You know this, we the dopest
We the best, but the joke is, we the brokest
You know this, we the dopest
We the best, but the joke is, we the... (Hahahaha)
