An Incredible State of Affairs Lyrics by Brewer & Shipley

Down in L.A.

0

[Verse 1]
What a very incredible state of affairs again I find
(What a very incredible state of affairs again)
People tempting their fate not to win
And they won’t give me time to relax my mind
[Verse 2]
Twenty thieves in the marketplace stealing gypsy minstrel bands
(stealing gypsy)
Always trying to hide from their face what they don’t understand
So they don’t understand
[Reprise]
Angry people building a legend that does them no good
All the people bringing it down like I knew they would
And I know that the feeling is wrong
But I can see that it’s changing my song
[Verse 4]
What a very incredible state of affairs has come to pass
(What a very incredible state of affairs)
Weepers finding out far too late that their not made to last
Their moving far too fast
[Reprise]
Angry people (angry people) building a legend
That does them no good (no good)
All the people (All the people) bringing it down like
I knew they would
[Verse 6]
And I know that the feeling is wrong
But I can see that it’s changing my soul
And it’s back to Atlantis and Mu
I can see that’s it’s me and it’s you
[Verse 7]
What a very incredible state of affairs again I find
(What a very incredible state of affairs again I find)
(What a very incredible state of affairs again I find)
What a very incredible state of affairs again I find
(What a very incredible state of affairs again I find)
What a very incredible state of affairs again I find
(What a very incredible state of affairs again I find)
What a very incredible state of affairs again I find
(What a very incredible state of affairs again I find)
What a very incredible state of affairs again I find
(What a very incredible state of affairs again I find)
