In 2012, Starkid premiered it's superhero spoof, 'Holy Musical B@man!' and, yeah, with a nearly identical plot, we are pretty certain it was in fact the inspiration for the Lego Batman Movie. That is true. With music by Nick Gage, this is 'Holy Musical B@man!'
[NICK G]
One shot!
Two shots in the night and they're gone
And he's all left alone he's just
One boy!
Two dead as his feet
And their blood stains the street
And there's nothing
No, there's nothing
He can... do!
Except, be the baddest man that there's ever been
He's gonna carry that weight
He's gonna get revenge
He's got Gotham, he'll never refuse 'em
He's got bat nun-chucks and boy
He knows how to use 'em
One man!
One bat in a cave
With a city to save
He makes, one vow!
Two lives he will lead
He'll protect those in need
And there's nothing
No, there's nothing
He can... do!
[ALL]
Wooh!
Wooh!
[DYLAN]
Line up, sign up
If you're looking for some sin
[JAIME]
And a dirty way to win, yeah
[BRIAN]
Get pissed, enlist
Tap into the devil within
[JIM]
Let the villainy begin
[ALL]
We're joining forces
[MEREDITH]
We're making clever quips
[ALL]
We revel in malevolence
Four-thousand horses of the apocalypse
[JIM]
Giddy up, Gotham
[DENISE]
Giddy up up up
[ALL]
We're going rogue, rogue, rogue!
Rogues are we!
[DENISE]
We are the harlots and the hussies
[ALL]
Rogues are we!
[JIM]
We are the swindlers and the cheats
[ALL]
Rogues are we!
[JAIME]
We're rising up from the underground
[ALL]
Rogues are we!
[BRIAN]
We're taking over your streets
[JOE]
It seems so funny
When I look back on the folly of my ways
I've climbed as high as one can climb all alone
I scaled the highest mountain
Did a pirouette to the tippity-top
But when you
[ALL]
Gotta get down
Gotta get down
Gotta get down
You need someone to count on
[DYLAN]
Some mark their friendship with bracelets and lockets
[BRIAN]
Some measure their friendship with silver and gold
[NICO]
Some mark their friendships with matching tattoos
[ALL]
We forge our friendship by saving the world
I wanna be your friend forever
[NICK G]
I wanna be a modern dancer
[ALL]
What a super weird thing to say
That came out of nowhere
I wanna be your friend forever
[NICK G]
Pass me the cup of kinship
[BRIAN]
Meet me at my place
The Fortress of Friendship
[ALL]
I wanna be your friend forever
[NICK G]
I wanna see the Eiffel Tower
[ALL]
With the power of a super friend
You're never alone
I wanna be your friend forever
[NICK G]
I wanna play Nintendo
[ALL]
Who needs Nintendo
When you've got a friend, oh!
I wanna be your friend forever
I wanna be your friend forever
I wanna be your friend forever
I wanna be your friend forever
[JOE]
Finally I've found a friend, I've finally found a friend
