The Final Ghost Lyrics by Team StarKid

VHS Christmas Carols (The Full Musical Album)

2020

[Scrooge]
You must be the final ghost
The Ghost of Christmas Future
You're the one I fear the most
Though I don't mean to be rude, sir
Don't know why I just called you "sir"
Guess I'm just feeling super nervous
But I shouldn't make assumptions
Oh spirit, please say something
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
'Kay, that didn't tell me much
But definitely was spooky
That's fine, you don't have to speak
Just show me the future you see
Hey, I know those guys ahead
Rich and respected businessmen
Wonder what they're talking about
Guess you're taking me there to find out
[Business Man #1]
The funeral is at 3
Don't know if I'm gonna go
Anyone wanna go?
[Business Man #2]
I don't know
[Business Man #3]
Not me
He wasn't really my friend
[Business Man #2]
I don't think he had friends
[Business Man #1]
Shame, he left behind so much money
[Business Man #2]
Hey, I'll go if there's a lunch
What? I'm getting hungry!
[Business Man #2 and Business Man #3]
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha
[Business Man #3]
Funny
[Scrooge]
Not a tear shed or kind words said
Too bad for the guy who's dead
But spirit, I don't see how this relates to me?
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
I see you've taken me to a seedy part of the city
Can't say I've been here before
It was always too poor and gritty
I see three people dressed in rags
Taking some nice things out of bags
As if taking inventory
Spirit, what's the story?
[Scavenger #1]
I got his sheets
[Scavenger #2]
I got his shirt!
[Scavenger #3]
I got his silverware
[Scavenger #2]
Nice!
[Scavenger #1]
Maybe if he wasn't such a jerk
I might actually care
[Scavenger #2 and Scavenger #3]
Right!
[Scavenger #2]
No one by his side when he died
Someone could have stopped us but no one tried
[Scavenger #3]
Maybe he could've been wiser
To be nicer
And not such a greedy miser
[Scrooge]
I've seen enough
They're stealing stuff
From the guy who died, that's pretty rough
But spirit, I don't see how this relates to me?
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
Can anyone express
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
Any emotion from this death?
[Spouse #1]
Honey, you'll never guess
You know how we're massively in debt?
[Spouse #2]
Yes
[Spouse #1]
Well, the old man just dropped dead!
[Spouse #2]
No way
[Spouse #1]
Yes way!
[Spouse #2]
I feel like I can breathe again
I can't believe our luck
Is it bad that I'm so happy?
[Spouse #1]
No, he truly sucked!
[Scrooge]
Okay spirit, funny joke
But that's not what I meant
Is there anyone who can express
For any death, some tenderness?
[Bob Cratchit]
I'm grateful for this Christmas feast
Just the kind Tiny Tim would enjoy
I only wish he were here to see
Forgive me, how I just miss my boy
[Martha Cratchit]
Daddy, don't cry
Tim is with us right now
[Peter Cratchit]
He lives in our hearts
And our memory
[Martha and Peter Cratchit]
We'll never forget him
No way, no how
[Emily Cratchit]
If only Scrooge had raised your salary
[Scrooge]
Spirit
Don't show me anymore!
Tell me who was that dead man from before
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
Now you're just trying to scare me
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
'Cause you led us to a cemetery
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
Now you're pointing to a grave
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ooooohhhhh
[Scrooge]
No, I don't want to see the name
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ebenezer Scrooge
[Scrooge]
Nooooo!!
[The Ghost of Christmas Future]
Ebenezer Scrooge
[Scrooge]
Nooooo!!
Say it's not too late
I'm a different man now
Spirit I am changed
I'll live Christmas all year round!
All three spirits
Will live in me
I'll remember
Lessons they teach
Please
[Narrator]
Scrooge reaches out to be saved
[Scrooge]
Oh please
[Narrator]
But is dragged down into the grave
