Elevate Lyrics by Bryson Cole

Letters to Myself

0

Its bigger than me
Its bigger than me

They go low so we go higher
Heaven sent we may need a choir
I ain’t equal I’m the equalizer
God protects me like Elijah
Swear this feel like a story straight out the Bible
Biblical scriptures painted vivid pictures
But we rather see the world through our own filters
Then face the reality that its all smoke in mirrors
Found the lord and it all became a lot clearer
I was looking for my purpose only scratched the surface
Disconnected from God cause I was skipping service
Start forgetting my worth and started to feel worthless
Thought of taking a break and it just made me nervous
But now I’m back and I’m better than ever
With my pen to the pad I could battle whoever
With these diamonds on my neck
Boy that came with the pressure
When life broke me down God put me back together

Pain was needed to grow
More I needed to know
Had to unlock my soul
Had to take it things slow
But It ain’t always in your own hands
Realized it was God’s plan
Realized who I am
Realize he is the I AM

Elevate
Elevate
We don’t ever stop we just elevate
We don’t ever stop we just elevate
We don’t ever stop we just elevate

Elevate
Elevate
We don’t ever stop we just elevate
We don’t ever stop we just elevate
We don’t ever stop

Writing Stay Alive
Trying to stay alive
Depression hit me from all angles and sides
World tried to tempt me with all its dangers and lies
Cried for help and I finally got my reply
I was scared to be famous
But it’s God’s graces
Tried to fill my hole with crazes
But its just as spacious
Took a spiritual hiatus just to give him praises
Feared the world but our minds are just as dangerous
Your grind don’t stop you just elevate
Yeah life don’t end we just levitate
Still chasing a mill already worried bout my second plate
Got a hunger like I ain’t never ate
No wonder I was depressed
Missing out on the now
Cause I’m too focused on next
Missing all my friends is something I would regret
Times spent at my lowest is something won't forget

Pain was needed to grow
More I needed to know
Had to unlock my soul
Had to take it things slow
But It ain’t always in your own hands
Realized it was God’s plan
Realized who I am
Realize he is the I AM

We don’t ever stop
