My Heart Doesn’t Check The Mail Lyrics by Burmese Bombshells

Burmese Bombshells

2019

There was a time of peace
A time when everything was simple
I'd really like to be
Retrograded back to that time
But my life, it changed forever
When I saw you walking down those stairs
Now even when you're not there
I'm staring into empty air
I try and I fail
My heart doesn't check the mail
I sent a letter that reads:
"You're wasting your time
Wasting my mind
That girl is out of my league, boy"
You have an effect on me
Cut the leash and set me free
I'm a prisoner of limerence
Locked in a burning, undiscerning misery
Look at you at me
Look back at reality
Maybe I've been watching too much TV
Now I have fifty simultaneous conversations
With some other ladies, okay
But when I'm alone at night
The truth undresses clear as day
A distraction is just a distraction
The dragon of delusion is my true enemy
There's only one way to destroy the dragon
I have to let you destroy me, boy
I try and I fail
My heart doesn't check the mail
I sent a letter that reads:
"You're wasting your time
Wasting my mind
That girl is out of my league, boy"
You have an effect on me
Cut the leash and set me free
I'm a prisoner of limerence
Locked in a burning, undiscerning misery
Look at you at me
Look back at reality
Maybe I've been watching too much TV
You have an effect on me
Cut the leash and set me free
I'm a prisoner of limerence
Locked in a burning, undiscerning misery
Look at you at me
Look back at reality
Maybe I've been watching too much TV
