The South Side of the Garden

2024

[Intro: Caleb Gordon]
Ayy, 2000, E-S-T
O-C-O-E-E
[Verse 1: Caleb Gordon]
You've been keepin' me alive, I can't thank You enough
I be quick to say a prayer when You wakin' me up
I keep runnin' to Your Word 'cause it's never enough
Tried to do it on my own, but it's better with us
I been openin' my heart, I've been learnin' to trust
I was coverin' my scars, didn't want You to judge
Fear and insecurity tried lockin' me up
But You set me free, You took them chains off me
[Pre-Chorus: Caleb Gordon]
No, your honor, I ain't innocent, I'm guilty
All of my past so filthy, rags
Locked up, thrown like the trash
But You paid my bail despite what I did in my past
[Chorus: Caleb Gordon]
Criminal, outlaw, bandit
Take my heart and reverse all the damage
Criminal, outlaw, bandit
I was on thе run 'til I just couldn't stand it
Criminal, outlaw, bandit
Take my heart and revеrse all the damage
Why You set me free, I just won't understand it
I was just a criminal, outlaw, bandit
[Verse 2: Kijan Boone]
Ah, I was just a bandit (Yeah)
Lost in my head, out cold, I was stranded (I was stranded)
Had to push the way, God told me, "Never panic" (Uh)
I had many thoughts that was too hard for me to manage (Hard for me to manage)
But I did what I'm 'posed to do, I gave it all to Jesus (Gave to Jesus)
Ever since I did, it's like my faith never be changin' seasons (Switchin' seasons)
I'm thankin' God, He fixed my life, I used to be a heathen (Be a heathen)
Gotta keep that Bible on my waist and sing like Justin Bieber (Brrah)
We ain't never hidin', we outside, huh (Yeah)
Every time we see a demon, we electric slide (Brrt)
I had to renovate my head 'cause it won't fit up in my mind (My mind)
I was so stuck all in the past 'cause I was dealin' with my pride (Pride)
Everything that was goin' on up in my life, I needed God (God)
[Pre-Chorus: Caleb Gordon]
No, your honor, I ain't innocent, I'm guilty
All of my past so filthy, rags
Locked up, thrown like the trash
But You paid my bail despite what I did in my past
[Chorus: Caleb Gordon]
Criminal, outlaw, bandit
Take my heart and reverse all the damage
Criminal, outlaw, bandit
I was on the run 'til I just couldn't stand it
Criminal, outlaw, bandit
Take my heart and reverse all the damage
Why You set me free, I just won't understand it
I was just a criminal, outlaw, bandit
