When I started recording "Teenage Wasteland" in January, I had so many different names for it. We'll talk "Glamor," we'll talk "Sunflower," we'll talk "Blur." I finally landed on the name "Teenage Wasteland" and that was supposed to come out March 14. I had .. I canceled it like February somethin' ... I don't know, I felt ...
For one, it wasn't finished, and I didn't wanna finish it 'cause I went really upset for a really long time and it was a hip-hop album where it was just hip-hop. That's it. Where on this, I rap but I also use hooks and melodies, and low pitching to make my voice sound not like me 'cause I noticed when I made "Felicity," I wasn't really liking my voice on it so I wanted to try new sounds and things like that which you'll hear on here, I don't know.
And the reason why I called it "Poor Media" is because I hate how everyone acts on the internet now. A lot of people are fake, they just believe what the media will tell them about certain people and not actually investigate. People hate Kanye West just 'cause of his political opinions and sometimes he says dumb stuff but when you actually hear him talk to people he's actually a really genuinely nice human being but the media doesn't put that out 'cause they just wanna hate on Kanye, and there's a whole bunch of other people that get hit with this, and I don't know ... I just felt like calling it "Poor Media," hopefully, I don't know, I just like the way it looked too, alright. Enjoy.
