Never Had This Dream Before Lyrics by Carl Douglas

Kung Fu Fighting and Other Great Love Songs

0

[Intro]
No, no, baby
No, no
[Verse 1]
In my time
I been a poet
An angel of mercy
That you won't forget
I was a boatman
People came to see
But in all my travels, baby
No one's been what you've been to me
[Chorus]
'Cause I've never had this dream before
Never had this dream before
Never had this dream before
No, no, babe
Never had this dream before
No, no
[Verse 2]
I was down
A heavy loser
Walking in circles
Looking for a Shangri-La
But when I met you
My soul began to breathe
You gave me my direction
I'll go anywhere you lead
[Chorus]
'Cause I've never had this dream before
Never had this dream before
Never had this dream before
No, no, baby
Never had this dream before
No, no
[Bridge]
Close your eyes and go to sleep, yeah
Me and you, we're just a pile of sheep
Oh, oh-hoah-hoah-hoah
Oh, ha-ha-hoah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Hoah-hoah
[Chorus]
Never had this dream before
No, no, baby
Never had this dream before
Never had this dream before
Say it again
Never had this dream before
No, no, baby
[Outro]
Never had this dream before
Never had this dream before
I never had a dream
Oh no, baby
No, no, baby
One more time
