Backseat Lyrics by Carsie Blanton

Idiot Heart

0

Sittin in the backseat waitin for your brother
To come back from the gas station
Said hardly anything to one another
Cus it seemed like an awkward situation
I got nothin against your girlfriend
She seemed perfectly sweet and everything
But I wish I woulda met you back in the old days
When you were a free man
You say you gave your hand away
But that don’t mean
That I can’t take it
Just for a minute and
I say I’m sick of love
But that don’t mean
That we can’t make it
I wanna make it with you
It’s a really long drive back to the city
And your brother doesn’t talk a lot
And I wasn’t gonna ask you anything personal
But I guess I just forgot
Cus I get a little antsy sittin in the backseat
Starin at your tattoos
Oh, we both know its a battle of will
And I don’t like to lose
You say you gave your hand away
But that don’t mean
That I can’t take it
Just for a minute and
I say I’m sick of love
But that don’t mean
That we can’t make it
I wanna make it with you
It isn’t that you’re so incredible
I don’t event think you’re smart
It isn’t that you’re unforgettable
I don’t wanna steal your heart
Baby its an invitation
Maybe just a one night stand
I don’t wanna a conversation
I don’t wanna make you my man
You say you gave your hand away
But that don’t mean
That I can’t take it
Just for a minute and
I say I’m sick of love
But that don’t mean
That we can’t make it
I wanna make it with you
