They'll listen, try to hit em as they push you to the ground
And miss em, but when they think that you're done, turn it around and diss em

Scared every verse I compose has already been made
That I'll be dismayed
To find all the wordplay's been played
That someone before me has already written every line
And every rhyme that every clever connection I'll ever find
Just isn't mine
Cause when rap got into motion
There was a sea of possibilities, more like an ocean
Everything was new, and crafting rhymes went smooth as lotion
But they had to drain some of the water for their potion
Sea turned to lake, lake turned to desert and
Most of the rap on the charts today is dry as sand
Every now and then we find an oasis
But every good rapper out there ends hard like shoelaces
New places, everywhere I go
People with two faces
Act nice, but run off with your success and leave few traces
Do that to me and I'll make you hurt like some new braces
You've got no idea what I'm packing, like suitcases

Scared of myself, or scared that I just ain't good enough
I know I don't need to act tough, buff, all that stuff
Just bothers me, I don't have money like I won the lottery
Rapping devoid of modesty
Calling myself a prodigy
So view me as an oddity
Go and call me a wannabe
Sloppily throwing words together
And flowing all wobbly
But you're wrong
No one should hate on the anomaly
Talent, they got a paucity
But can't handle the quantity
I deliver, flow like the spree river
So I can appreciate what others deem chopped liver
Though many people are treated like they're a germ
Anyone who thinks they have potential, I can confirm
Many people just wanna be adequate
Take a stab at it
And when the world lets them down, they can't help but get mad at it
Don't tell yourself that that is it
Be adamant until you're there
Don't abandon ship
Until you can admit for real you're scared
