Assume the Worst Lyrics by Champion

Come Out Swinging - EP

0

Again you're pointing fingers, branding me before ever giving me a chance
Stand on your soapbox and preach your word
You never let me speak on my behalf, now everything I do is put to the test
When you have no reason to second guess
Something I did, it must have hurt
'cause now you drag my name through the dirt
I came in with best intentions, my intentions never understood
You made your decision without giving me a try
Again you're pointing your finger, spread the gossip and never ask me why
Take my intentions, twist them to conform to your lies
The rumours are now gaining weight
When you nor anyone else has facts
When it's all said and done, my voice will be heard
And at that time you'll eat your words
You made your decision without giving me a try
So take your shots because now it's evident to me
That you don't even know what I'm about
Believe everything you've heard, because there's no reason to doubt it
Don't look for the truth just write me off and assume the worst
