Man Down (King Kong Shake) Lyrics by CHILDCARE

Wabi-Sabi

2018

[Chorus]
So would you lay your head on my hairless chest?
You wouldn’t need to speak or even make a sound
I know that you’re a man and a man knows best
But sometimes we all need to man down
So c’mon, lay your arms
[Verse 1]
I wanna show myself
Yes, I wanna be bigger
Bigger than everyone else
I’m gonna work my figure
And in the winter, I will moisturize my knuckles
I’m the archetypal milenni-man
‘Cause in the hinterland, men like me
Would suffer with knuckles dry like mini-mountains of sand
[Chorus]
So would you lay your head on my hairless chest?
You wouldn’t need to speak or even make a sound
I know that you’re a man and a man knows best
But sometimes we all need to man down
So c’mon, lay your arms, nestled around my neck
‘Cause I know what it feels to be young and proud
You feel strongly that nothing is wrong
But you’re wrong, because every man needs to man down
[Bridge]
I don’t know what’s rough
I don’t know what’s wrong
So I’ll just beat my chest
Shoot me down, I’m King Kong
[Verse 2]
And in the summer, I go hiking with my brother
Try to climb the biggest mountain around
Spread on the sun cream, watch us turn a lovely color
Now our mother’s gonna be very proud
