New Me Lyrics by Chosen Few (AUS)

Friends, Foes & Firewood

1990

[Verse 1]
It's all over, this silent suffering
It's all over, this shy retreat
It's all over, this hesitation
I won't stand here and take this heat
[Verse 2]
Don't try to give me worn-out excuses
Don't try to give me any more lies
Don't try to give me a guilty conscience
Those kind of stories I just won't buy
[Chorus]
From this point in time I will speak my mind
Play it straight down the line
It's the new me
From this point in time I will speak my mind
Play it straight down the line
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
[Verse 3]
Well I've decided to make things different
Well I've decided to make things right
Well I've decided to make some changes
And I'm gonna put up a fight
[Chorus]
From this point in time I will speak my mind
Play it straight down the line
It's the new me
From this point in time I will speak my mind
Play it straight down the line
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
[Instrumental]
[Verse 1 repeat]
It's all over, this silent suffering
It's all over, this shy retreat
It's all over, this hesitation
I won't stand here and take this heat
[Chorus]
From this point in time I will speak my mind
Play it straight down the line
It's the new me
From this point in time I will speak my mind
Play it straight down the line
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
Well it's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
It's the new me
