Metropolitan Territory Lyrics by Christopher Bonilla

2015

I have faith so that i can move mountains
But people don't take the Bible literally
So they say with Christ you can move the emotional mountains in your life
You see
I don't need a fountain of youth to live forever
But will change the errors of the world by talking to whomever
Making sure they understand where they are in life
So they won't have to surrender to an oppressor that only displays terror
However with the Holy Spirit
It will seem like a bounden duty to climb mountains
Not so the world can see me
But so i can see the world
Going out to walk the same path as sinners is easy
But more so when we put God as a fool
Because if we can't to go out and fornicate
God is not going to stop us
If we want to sell drugs
Christ will not stop us
Sticks and stones might break our bones
But words might forever hurt us
And if we wan't to kill someone because of impulsive anger
The Holy Spirit will not stop us
Humankind is basically overpowering it's Creator
And what makes Earth so special?
Is it because this is where the devil fell?
It it to test us so we assemble and unite to create our own ensemble?
Maybe it's for us to learn to walk so we don't stumble
Or to become strong so we don't fall and break like something fragile?
I want to change my city
But i feel a small amount of pity for those who are too dirty
But it's never too late to find God
Even if you're past forty
Not only that
But Christ shows mercy
And if you pay more attention to something that is completely distracting
Then it is most likely that you'll miss your flight while everyone is boarding
But the airline to heaven is one that is always going and never boring
And so i propose we try not to fall short of His glory
Less we get caught in the traps of self-denial into categories
That have little to no warnings
But rather are more like an ugly, gory laboratory
Made specifically to resemble a purgatory in our psyche
And perhaps the internal sunshine in your soul has become stormy
But just know that this disturbance of the heart isn't mandatory
In fact it will build you up both externally and internally to have the courage to change your
