[Verse 1]
Lord, every dream and all I've hoped for
The promises You've spoken over me
I hold in faith, they're not forgotten
In spite of what I feel or what I see
[Pre-Chorus]
And oh, oh-oh-oh, I'm choosing to believe
And oh, oh-oh-oh, Your word's enough for me
[Chorus]
I'm confident of this
That I will see Your goodness
In the land of the living
In the land of the living
One thing will never change
My hope is in Your name
Because You are living
Because You are living
Oh, because You are living
[Verse 2]
You are Creator and Redeemer
You take the broken things and make them new
So while You're working and while I'm waiting
I will lift a song and sing my praise to You, oh, oh
I will lift a song and sing my praise to You, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
[Chorus]
I'm confident of this
That I will see Your goodness
In the land of the living
In the land of the living
One thing will never change
My hope is in Your name
Because You are living (Oh-oh)
Because You are living
[Interlude]
Oh, because You are living
We can trust Your word
We can trust Your word
We can trust You, God
You are faithful
Always have been, You always will be, yeah, yeah
[Bridge]
(You've never made)
You've never made a promise You couldn't keep
'Cause You don't lie to me, You don't lie to me, oh-oh-oh
You've never made a promise You couldn't keep
'Cause You don't lie to me, You don't lie to me, oh-oh
(Sing)
You've never made a promise You couldn't keep
You don't lie to me (Oh), You don't lie to me
(Oh, You've never made)
You've never made a promise You couldn't keep
You don't lie to me, You don't lie to me
[Chorus]
I'm confident of this
(I will see) That I will see Your goodness
(Oh, oh-oh-oh-oh) In the land of the living
(In the land of the living) In the land of the living
(Right here, right now, yeah)
One thing will never change
My hope is in Your name (All my hope, all my hope)
Because You are living
(Oh, because, oh, because) Because You are living
(Sing I'm confident) I'm confident of this
(I will see) That I will see Your goodness
(In the land) In the land of the living
(Right here, right now, yeah) In the land of the living
One thing will never change
(All my hope, Your name) My hope is in Your name
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
Because You are living
Because You are living
[Interlude]
Yeah
You're alive, You're alive
We can trust Your word
Oh, You always keep, all Your promises
[Spontaneous]
You know in Numbers 23, it says that
"God is not man, that he would lie, or the son of man that he would change his mind"
And it goes on to encourage us in this
That if He said it, He's gonna do it
If He spoke it, He will fulfill it
For I don't know, what tomorrow has to bring but I know this
If He tells us to march around our Jericho, those walls are coming down
I know this, if He sets us in front of an impossible red sea, we're gonna walk on dry land
And if He tells us to march into battle and to face our giants
We might as well put our dancing shoes on because the battle has already been won
Our God is faithful
And we can trust His word
And we can stand on His promises
And we can declare that He is not a God who lies
So let's sing that again, and let's declare it in faith
Speaking to that mountain, speaking to that giant
[Bridge]
(We sing)
You've never made a promise You couldn't keep
You don't lie to me, no, You don't lie to me, yeah
(Say You've never made)
You've never made a promise You couldn't keep
(You don't lie, said You don't lie) You don't lie to me
('Cause You don't lie, ayy-ayy) You don't lie to me
(Said You've never made, say)
You've never made (Made) a promise (A promise) You couldn't keep
(You don't lie, ayy) You don't lie to me
('Cause You don't, God, 'cause You don't, God) You don't lie to me
('Cause You don't, God)
(Say You've never made)
You've never made a promise You couldn't keep
You don't lie to me (You don't lie, God, You don't)
You don't lie to me, yeah
[Chorus]
I'm confident of this
That I will see Your goodness
In the land of the living
(In the land) In the land of the living
One thing will never change
My hope is in Your name
Because You are living
Because You are living
[Outro]
Oh-oh, oh
