Worse Than the Plague Lyrics by Cliffs of Capri

Glam-O-Rama

2023

Sit me down, try to lecture me
Say you think that I've been conditioned
Unaware of your irony
Living up to a stolen vision
Nothing out of your mouth makes sense
I don’t know what you wanted from me
Hear you rambling in a trance
You are lost in a dream
You're not listening to reason
Only hear what you believe in
You don't understand I’m different
So you label me a heathen
Tell me I should seek forgiveness
Wanna make my life your business
Say that I'll be cured with faith
But until that blessed day
Being on the spectrum makes me but a wraith, a monster!
I just might be worse than the plague
The needles hollowed out my brain
I could be saved
If I revere the Savior's name
Why don't I see it this way
God will fix me, you shall say
I'm worse than the plague
Give us this day our daily outrage
You will not have my forgiveness
You will stay out of my business
How dare you use the faith
To promote your twisted ways?
Your evangelism's only causing pain, you monster!
What you're doing's worse than the plague
And in my life you have no place
How could you break
Anyone in your Lord’s name?
I’ll never see it your way
If this is how your lot behaves
I'm glad I’m worse than the plague
Give us this day our daily outrage
Doesn't your Good Book say you shouldn't judge?
Is that why you threw me into the mud?
What's your limit now if you hold a grudge?
Should I act surprised if you spill blood?
