Few Words Freestyle Lyrics by Cody Lashley

2019

I've grown as a man with few words
All the verses I say are mental
Expressed differently
Though consequently
You don’t notice it at first
Until I say it anyway
Just because I act or think in a different way
Doesn't make me retarded
In fact, you're the retarded ones for making the assumption
Disregarded all facts in exchange for what seems to be
Your misconceptions and beliefs
Your false truths and misguided youthful thoughts
Fucker, don’t kid yourself
Think you're cool smokin JUUL in the bathrooms
Just because I look drowsy, depressed, and introverted
Doesn't mean I'm a school shooter
We live in an age where our very thoughts are dictated
By what a fuckin computer tells you
I got no troubleshoot but I do have things to say
I'm a man with a few words
Just because I'm an outsider
Doesn't mean I can't light my own fire
We live in a world were the internet is a divider
Dividing us into multiple pieces
The ones that fight for their beliefs don’t get a say
Cuz the majority censors everything that doesn’t fit
Their beliefs or moral systems
No side holds wisdom no matter how you look at it
The story unfolds the same
You're born, you live, you die
And the cycle starts over again with a new name
The industry and the way it thinks is all the same
Pick a style or tempo they like
Milk it till it can’t make any more money
Pick another
Rinse and repeat
But it won't matter to me
I'm already dead inside
And I'd rather be hated for being who I am
Than being loved for what I’m not
So do it
Go ahead and censor or ban this song
I ran out of fucks to give
But just know that your bigotry
Won't get you any dignity or sympathy
And you'll end up like everyone else
In your own ignorance
