I’ve had my hands around my family but I’m leaving so now I feel
The pain of being alone as my hands fall

So that other families could be joined together forever

I gave up first world life to help others find their heavenly mansion
And though we taught what Christ said we should and should not be
Still some people simply could not, or would not see
They didn’t get why salvation is a big deal at all
Or how Christ saves us from an actual fall
They don’t see we’re heirs of promise born to raise with the dawn
And we’re more than just smart monkeys that were made from a bomb
BUT
On occasions, there was an amazing
Person who was searching for the voice we were raising
And they made our trials seem like minor pains
When compared to our smiles as their lives were changed
And….wow…..now it’s over
Although when I think about it it isn’t over
This is just the start, and this part is better
My name tag’s written on my heart forever
So here I pledge to light a spark in this people
To raise a loud voice against darkness and evil
And to shine light glowing with the splendor of youth
As a soldier of Christ - a Defender of Truth
