Balance the Scales Lyrics by CreatiVets

Veteran Songs

2020

[Verse 1]
Twelve men brothers rolling down a road that we'd all been before
A white cloud explosion standing face to face with the reality of war
And life went in slow motion there was chaos everywhere
Someone's gonna pay for my friend's life I swear
[Chorus]
I'm still fighting these questions
Where was God that day and who am I gonna tell
Now I feel like dying
Dealing with this pain inside this living hell
I'm still trying to find a way to pay my debt
To balance the scales
[Verse 2]
So the monster goеs home thrown into a world where hе feels so all alone
Like a square peg in a round hole trying anything to fill this empty in my soul
Yeah all I really wanted was just to be myself
But everyone that loved me they saw someone else and
[Chorus]
I'm still fighting these questions
Where was God that day and who am I gonna tell
Now I feel like dying
Dealing with this pain inside this living hell
I'm still trying to find a way to pay my debt
To balance the scales
[Bridge]
I burned a lot of bridges
Left them in the past
But the Phoenix rises up
Right out of the ash
[Chorus]
I'm still fighting these questions
Where was God that day and who am I gonna tell
And now I feel like dying
Dealing with this pain inside this living hell
I'm still trying to find a way to pay my debt
Well I'm still trying to find a way to pay my debt
To balance the scales
To balance the scales
[Outro]
Twelve men brothers
