Perspectives Change Lyrics by Croweman & the Ape

Revenge Tour

2021

Boys, it's been an awesome ride
It's funny how life works out sometimes
You got to see through the storm to appreciate the sunshine
Just take a look around and hug the people next to you
Because in the end, these are the people that matter
I love you man
I love you too bro
Let's get it
My mind's sore, I can feel it in the core
Getting out of bed is becoming a chore
Life keeps shutting the door
People getting ignored, so what can I do?
I turn back and all I see is the booze
A glass of jack then two, three, and four
My body's numb, stuck to the chair like gum
People stare, this is not so fun
Is my time almost done?
I can hear the thunder and begin to wonder
Are these the clouds under the sun?
Drift away (Drift away, drift away, drift away)
Perspectives change
This the way (This the way, this the way, this the way)
Life's just a game
Miss the days (Miss the days, miss the days, miss the days)
Drift away (Drift away, drift away, drift away)
Perspectives change
This the way (This the way, this the way, this the way)
Life's just a game
Miss the days (Miss the days, miss the days, miss the days)
In the beginning, I felt one way, but now I question it
Feelings change they rearrange; never will I feel the same
In a way, I pray that someday
I'll look back and forget the rage but today I regret my ways
Driven by anger and a mindset to wage, man it's not okay
But in change, I tried to handle it respectively
Objectively I left the scene, they sentenced me, effectively, affected me, it's mental me essentially
(Perspectives change) Well at least for me, no more tension to be seen, I'm on to better things
My life's almost like a game, kind of like a burning flame
The only way to fix it is to make some freezing rain(Perspectives change)
Yeah man who the hell is perfect?
No explanation's ever really worth it
Fight for who you are and be sure to never lose it
Just write some rageful music and don't let the pen abuse it
(Perspectives change) I left this place to find some space
The situations what you make, stand behind it, take the blame
Instead, I got a piece of mind, and another lease on time
This life was always mine, write it in between the lines
Never get set aside, put the past behind
Focus on yourself release the ties like a rocket up you'll rise
I spent a whole year trying to prove that I'm the good guy
Now I'm left here, on the street waving goodbye
