Almost There Lyrics by Cuban Doll

Cuban Link

2017

[Hook]
I came from a place where they said that I wasn't gone make it
Yeah, but I know my destiny
And Ima chase it till the death of me
Yeah, I ain't a kid no more
Now I got kids of my own
And I'm grown
Sometimes I still feel alone
But i know that I gotta keep going
Cause I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
I know I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
I said I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
I know I'm almost there
Almost there
[Verse 1]
Yeah I'm almost there
Young and up and coming so they always stare
I had a lot of friends but that shit turned rare
Twenty Seventeen, bitch, I ain't playing fair
I had to skip the line but I don't really care
Bring them sticks out in case a nigga try to dare
I keep it real real, bitch that's how I got here
I could feel it coming, I've been grinding all summer
My momma just got out, said she's counting on me
I gotta bring the cheese for the missing broccoli
Me and my two brothers we were so hungry
Remember them nights we ain't have no place to sleep
Now we getting it on our own, like if we was really grown
Took no rejection so they had to give us our throne
Funny ass bitches switched up on us now they ass gone
Yeah, now they ass gone
[Hook]
I came from a place where they said that I wasn't gone make it
Yeah, but I know my destiny
And Ima chase it till the death of me
Yeah, I ain't a kid no more
Now I got kids of my own
And I'm grown
Sometimes I still feel alone
But i know that I gotta keep going
Cause I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
I know I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
I said I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
I know I'm almost there
Almost there
[Verse 2]
I remember when a nigga didn't have shit
Riding round, with caprices and dope in my cockpit
Kicking it in the hood with niggas what's popping?
On the corner, nigga rocks tryna make a profit
Leave a nigga crib and they gonna need a locksmith
Everything free yeah you know a nigga got this
Yeah, I was on my young nigga shit
Had to take my life and change it, yeah I had to rearrange
Cause I ain't no kid no more
I gotta see my babies grow
Yeah, I gotta see my momma old
I don't wanna see my niggas in the streets no more
But my niggas still depend on me to eat some more
I know that these niggas wanna fuck my bitch
That these niggas wanna rock my wrist
I know I deserve to live a life like this
I deserve to live a life like this
[Hook]
I came from a place where they said that I wasn't gone make it
Yeah, but I know my destiny
And Ima chase it till the death of me
Yeah, I ain't a kid no more
Now I got kids of my own
And I'm grown
Sometimes I still feel alone
But i know that I gotta keep going
Cause I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
I know I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
Said I'm almost there
I said I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
Yeah, I'm almost there
I know I'm almost there
Almost there
