Freedom Lyrics by Daddy X

Family Ties

2006

Question authority what is their gain?
To empower themselves with control of your brain

Freedom!
What would you give for your freedom?

What’s it worth to you? Would you die to realize your truth?
Stick your neck right through the noose
Hang em high we turn them loose

What price would you pay if they took your rights away
Promise you eternal life today just believe everything they say
It starts with control squeeze em tight we’ll let em go its push or pull fight for your soul
Stakes are high who owns the gold
Bombs drop people die conquering land gods on our side
How could good men justify call us savages sell their lie
We got bigger guns 3rd world were number 1
We got power to overcome every living thing under the sun
Creation we reign supreme mennonite men the creators dream
Divide and conquer most everything do you want more of this American dream
Manifest destiny twenty first century slavery something just ain't right to me
Too many cages in the land of the free

Freedom what would you give for your freedom?

What if your a tribal man living out on your tribal land
Every resource was close at hand every living thing was apart of the plan
You have righteous ways gave thanks for every night and day
Generations who lived this way passed it on through your tribal ways
Life was in perfect rhythm no fear there were no prisons
Earth was church with infinite wisdom perfect balance in organic systems
The rivers ran so free the air was clean there was no disease
No such thing as poverty cause mother nature gave us everything
Then one day some men arrived with greed religion and different eyes
Different ideas and different views pointing their big guns down at you
Kicked you off your land burned your villages just to kill your fam
Held their good book in their hand say it was all just apart of the plan
Say your a loving and peaceful man all of this was hard to understand
They damned the water spread their plagues cursed your home and your sacred ways
Took your kids made them slaves built their cities on your graves
Would you call them terrorist today would you call them terrorist today?

Freedom what would you give for your freedom?

I’m wise these tribes these jails remind to find peace inside with no ideas of demise
Were I can be at one within I choose a life of clarity one day at a time
My motor skills are functioning I breath the air and ride the seas
How many days are left like these cause tomorrows never guaranteed
So ill make today the best day of my life try to give love and cause nobody strife
For this is the time I was given to live and every moment is truly my gift

Freedom! I won’t take for granted my freedom to live a good life
