My decision? To rise above what was expected of me.
And I tried to take some with me.
I tried to lift and encourage ones who were with me during the struggle.
But, for whatever reason, be it temptation, ignorance, fear of change or death, they could not come.
How can they say the preacher is blind when the choir is deaf?
But that's fine. It's better to be blind than look away any day.
I will prevail and they will not.
I will not answer from now on when the street knocks.
